To enhance the integrity and efficiency of the Cosmos ecosystem, AADAO has awarded a grant of $43,500 to Anima to integrate its verification SDK, Proof of Personhood claim, and identity protocol with Cosmos wallets and the broader ecosystem.
This initiative aims to help projects determine whether a wallet is human and unique, enhancing onboarding processes by filtering out bots. Anima’s solution provides a free, privacy-preserving, plug-and-play, multi-wallet tool for users to decentralize and share their identity easily. It also offers builders actionable data to create better community onramps, prioritizing humans over capital.
The primary goals of this grant include reducing bot activity by detecting duplicate entries, improving resource allocation by ensuring a higher percentage of distributions to verified users, and fostering scalable, trust-based communities with genuine engagement. These measures aim to maximize the effectiveness of airdrops and ATOM use cases, ensuring they reach real, unique individuals.
Set grant milestones include a primary phase development and adoption of Proof of Personhood within the Cosmos ecosystem, starting with comprehensive market research and integration with the Leap Wallet. This is to be followed by a workshop during the DoraHacks hackathon with AEZ, covering the integration of Anima and demonstrating a privacy-first Proof of Personhood against Sybil attacks.
The Anima team will also focus on collaborating with projects to implement the PoP SDK and gather feedback on various use cases, ensuring that the Cosmos Hub is made the official hub for Cosmos user identities across the interchain.
