One of our latest grantees, Drops, will boost user engagement through the ATOM 5K Quests campaign. This initiative encourages both content creators and ATOM stakers to get involved, enhancing participation across the Cosmos Hub and Atom Economic Zone (AEZ).
Discover Drops
Drops is a platform designed to encourage UGC through incentivized bounties. Their mission is to amplify project awareness by motivating users to complete tasks, earn points, and compete for leaderboard prizes.
With the support of a $7,500 grant from AADAO, Drops is leading a focused campaign to enhance user engagement with Cosmos Hub and the AEZ. This AADAO grant enables Drops to use their innovative point system and referral incentives to maximize the campaign’s outreach, impact, with the majority of the grant going toward the prize pool for participants.
Our grant also includes the development of functionality on their platform to run quests that track Cosmos Hub staking balances, allowing participants to earn points based on how much they stake, but also, based on how much they increase their stake during the campaign period.
Unlocking New Levels of User Participation on the Hub
In a world where user engagement is key to ecosystem growth and true understanding, Drops is stepping up with a novel approach to increase participation and staking within the Cosmos Hub.
By engaging a large existing user base, Drops will introduce creative tasks that encourage long-form UGC and social engagement, especially around ATOM staking. This initiative could lead to a higher number of active participants in the Cosmos ecosystem, boosting global awareness and staking within the AEZ.
The use of Drops’ weighted-points system ensures that quality engagement, rather than low-effort participation, is rewarded—leading to more meaningful contributions.
Moreover, Drops is familiar with Cosmos SDK transactions through their work with Injective, which makes them well-positioned to incorporate staking data and on-chain wallet information into the campaign. This integration could allow Cosmos Hub users to track their contributions and staking balances in real-time, adding further incentive for deeper engagement.
Introducing ATOM 5k Quests
The ATOM 5K Quests is Drops and AADAO’s 12-week UGC campaign (running from September to November 2024) where users can earn points for various actions, such as staking ATOM, creating content, or inviting friends to join.
With 10 quests to get started, participants can climb the leaderboard by completing tasks like tweeting, posting on TikTok, or boosting their staked ATOM balance. Every action counts toward exclusive leaderboard prizes.

In 2023, we deployed $3.8 million in grants to 39 recipients – resulting in, among other things – a $22m USD airdrop to the Community Pool, an AEZ Accelerator program to expand the AEZ, a successful hackathon with 42 project submissions bringing innovations to the AEZ – and many other key initiatives.
