Following a recent vote by the contributors of Atom Accelerator DAO (AADAO), Youssef Amrani has been removed from his role as General Manager.
While the proposal’s voting period has not yet concluded, all eligible DAO contributors have now voted for a unanimous decision to terminate Youssef’s tenure. Youssef – who was placed on an Operational Freeze ten days ago – will remain with the DAO until September 30, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition and handover of responsibilities.
The proposal to remove the General Manager also added a new clause to our Internal Protocols, allowing any DAO member to call for such a vote. Previously, only the Oversight Committee was allowed to initiate such a proposal.
This is an unprecedented action in the DAO’s history.
Over the coming days, the DAO will work with Youssef to ensure a smooth transition, including handing over responsibilities, providing access to key resources, and ensuring continuity for AADAO’s operations.
As AADAO navigates this transition, our focus is on maintaining operational stability. While the proposal listed some operational aspects of this transition, we have many details to work out.
While we will keep the community informed as we do these, we would like to invite the community to a Town Hall – this Friday, 27 September, at 8 pm UTC on Twitter. We look forward to hearing from everyone on the call.
