Expanding Cosmos Hub’s global presence is crucial for fostering a more inclusive and robust ecosystem. We at Atom Accelerator DAO (AADAO) are dedicated to supporting this expansion by empowering communities and developers around the world with the resources they need to join in. One significant step in this direction is via our latest grantee, Ludium.
In the blog below, we spotlight Ludium’s innovative developer onboarding course, designed to attract high-quality Korean developers to the Hub and ultimately strengthen the ecosystem’s presence in a key regional market.
About Ludium
Ludium is a Korean Web3 Builder Community focused on providing information, education, and bounty opportunities for builders to transition their career into Web3. Composed of experienced professionals passionate about blockchain technology and developer education, their expertise and dedication have established Ludium as a trusted name in Web3, known for their high-quality educational content and community-driven initiatives.
To support Ludium’s efforts in strengthening the Hub’s presence in South Korea, AADAO has awarded them a $15,000 grant. This will fund the development and deployment of an online developer mission-based course.
Expanding the Hub’s presence in South Korea
The Ludium team will produce content (written, code samples and videos) on 3 core modules:
- Cosmos Overview: Intro to Cosmos Ecosystem, Go Language and how to use CosmosSDK
- Intro to CosmWasm: Intro to Rust and CosmWasm contract development
- CosmWasm dApp: Hands on exercises to deploy dApp on Neutron
The content will be in both English and Korean, structured into “missions” and hosted on Ludium’s in-house LMS platform. The grant aims to have participation from 100 developers on the online course created from this content. Notably, the articles and missions are already published on GitHub, consisting of 49 articles and 74 missions that are paramount to understanding the ecosystem.
After the course, a local hackathon will allow developers to apply their knowledge, with the winning team getting the chance to attend Cosmoverse and Hackmos in Oct ’24 (these activities are not in the scope of this grant).
It’s also important to highlight that the module publication itself was community-driven, with four highly qualified builders contributing to the process. Their dedication to the Cosmos Hub Ecosystem and commitment to onboarding new builders made this possible (Builder Details report).
Looking Forward
Starting off strong, a University Club has already kicked off their on/offline programs. They are meeting regularly to cover all topics in the courses, aiming to enhance their skills and prepare for the upcoming contest. Additionally, there are at least three more student/builder clubs lined up for further participation.
AADAO is thrilled to support Ludium in this initiative. By equipping Korean developers with essential knowledge and skills, we are fostering a new wave of innovation and participation around the Hub and the AEZ as a whole. Investing in developer education and engagement is pivotal to building a stronger, more vibrant Web3 community.
